Hina Khan has her share of lovers and haters just like any other celebrity! And she is no alien to trolls since her Bigg Boss 11 days. Moreover, the Kasauti Zindagii Kay 2 star is instead known for handling her trolls with utmost grace and sass.
Hina, recently took the internet by storm as she graced the red carpet of 72nd Cannes Film Festival. She launched the first look of her Bollywood debut film, Lines at the event. Comments from both her fans and haters poured in congratulating and trolling her respectively!
While on one hand, all her fellow actors from the entertainment industry were congratulating and praising Hina for her Cannes debut, Jitesh Pillai, the editor of Filmfare magazine took a dig at her. He posted a picture of Hina from Cannes in his Instagram story and wrote, “Cannes has suddenly become Chandivali Studious kya?”
Pillai’s comment did not go well with many. Several actors and directors including Ekta Kapoor, Gauahar Khan and Karanvir Bohra lashed out at him for making such demeaning comments.
Talking about the latest, Ishaqbaaz fame Nakuul Mehta has extended his support for Hina in an open letter penned for Jitesh Pillai.
“The silver lining of that uncalled for a remark you made is that for the first time a lot of us collectively stood up and made out voices heard. It hit home. You got a lot of us engaging in a dialogue and coming out in support of a colleague who on her own merit has blazed new trails. Thank you, if for nothing else but for shaking our collective conscience to wake up and stand up for the respect our work demands,” he wrote.
