What all do people do in the name of love? A LOT of things and some of which are not under the confines of the law. Like shooting your lover’s ex-boyfriend or running over ex’s body with a vehicle.

In an odd case that has come to light, a 24-year-old Rajasthani lad from Sonipat, Deepak Kumar Malik, has thrown an open challenge to Ganganagar Police to catch him if they can. He is accused of killing his girlfriend’s ex-lover. While the police have arrested the girl, he is on the run.

But he’s constantly updating his Facebook statuses and has open declarations and open challenges for the police. From sharing how he’s going to avenge the misbehaviour his girlfriend faced at the hands of the police…

…to confessing his crimes.

Deepak has a string of uploads. He’s also openly taken the officer’s name and further challenged him.

Known for his love of guns and arms, as seen in his pictures, Deepak also warned others to wait and see what is in store.

The girlfriend, ‘love of his life’, Indubala, is in police custody after being arrested on charges of killing her former boyfriend, Vinod Beniwal on July 31.

In a Hindustan Times report, Sriganganagar’s circle officer Tulsidas Purohit said,

“A badly maimed body was found in Sriganganagar a few days ago. It was later identified as that of Vinod Beniwal, a resident of Haryana. During investigation we came to know about the involvement of Malik and Indubala in the case.

Indubala invited Beniwal to her house where he was offered alcohol. She then drove an inebriated Beniwal to a deserted area where Malik shot him in the head. Later, Indubala drove a car over Beniwal’s body several times to make it look like an accident.”

The police are on the lookout and have four teams in place to nab him.

“The Facebook posts are no big deal. We have constituted four teams to arrest Malik and he will be soon brought to justice. His last known location was in Uttar Pradesh.

Deepak was linked with illegal liquor mafia and there’s also a murder case registered in his name in Ajmer district.

This is just too much to take in. A social challenge of another sort. But, would he be able to get away? We hope not.
