Bangladeshi MP Hires 8 Doppelgangers To Take Her University Exams, Gets Expelled

Admit it or not, most of us have cheated at least once or more in our university exams and also gotten away with it. Be it copying from a friend or passing answer sheets in the exam hall, cheating was either done to pass the exam or just for fun. And, students take to several creative and adventurous ways to cheat in exams but this one was surely never on the cards!

A Bangladeshi MP, Tamanna Nusrat, from the ruling Awami League party, allegedly hired 8 look-alikes to replace her in the university exams. A private local news channel, Nagorik TV busted the scandal recently, reports Al Jazeera. They entered an exam hall and confronted a woman who was posing as Nusrat in the exam about the same. The politician allegedly made her 8 look-alikes pose as her in 13 tests, reports News 18. She was elected to parliament last year and was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in arts at the Bangladesh Open University (BOU). The university expelled her as soon as the reality came to light.

“We expelled her because she has committed a crime. A crime is a crime,” said the BOU head, MA Mannan. “We have canceled her enrolment. She will never be able to get admitted here again,” he added.

“The proxy students were protected by the MP’s musclemen when they sat for the tests. Everybody knew it but nobody uttered a word because she is from a very influential family,” a college official said.

This woman surely went way too far with cheating antics! What are your thoughts on the entire story?
