Son Shares Touching Post On How His Mom Survived Cancer & Found Love, Remarried At 52

Not all marriages have a happy ending. Some end rather tragically, leaving people heartbroken and too exhausted to start all over again. However, in the past, there have been instances where women got remarried after losing their husbands to death or escaping a toxic marriage.

One guy named Jimeet Gandhi took to LinkedIn to share how his mother remarried at the age of 52 after losing her husband and beating cancer.

In 2013, his mother lost her husband when she was 44. In 2014, she was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. After 2 years of multiple chemotherapy sessions, she contracted the Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus.

The woman battled depression and anxiety but still powered through, even when her children were elsewhere pursuing their careers. However, at the age of 52, she found love again.

“She decided to break all stigmas, all taboos in Indian society and married someone she loves. She is a warrior. She is a fighter. She is my mom,” her son wrote.

Ending the heartwarming post, he urged others to support their parents in finding companionship.
