Mohenjo Daro trailer is here!
Although the trailer looks promising on the entertainment front, Twitterati couldn’t stop themselves from taking digs on it, partly because it didn’t seem too factually correct as we expect from Ashutosh Gowariker’s work.
We agree that there is a thing as creative liberty but what we saw in the trailer was far from the realms of that. The first thing that hits you is that everyone calls a perfectly booming city, the mound of dead (Mohenjo-Daro was the name given by the archeologists, translating directly into the city of the dead in Sindhi) and the presence of horses which isn’t factually known in the Indus Civilization.
And twitterati just couldn’t help point them out.
1.
Shouldn’t Ashutosh Gowarikar have realised that the actual citizens of Mohenjodaro couldn’t have called it that- the mound of the dead?

I’m sure Kejriwal will really like Mohenjo Daro. There’s plenty of drama, dialogues, theatrics, crocodile, tears and even a Bedi.

Mohenjo Daro looks like a mixture of Koi Mil Gaya, Krish, Gladiator, Ek Paheli Leela & Lagaan.

If the people in 2600 BC were made to watch Jodha Akbar & Lagaan back to back, they’d be done just in time for the release of Mohenjo Daro.

Good luck Mohenjo Daro! Twitter is looking forward to seeing you on the big screen. 😀
