If you are a woman, you would know that visiting the salon to get a haircut tends to burn a hole in our pockets. Forget taking a massage, even getting your eyebrows done nowadays cost more than getting your phone recharged. However, the case isn’t the same for men. As it turns out, men have to pay way less for way more services.
A woman online took to Twitter to express her utter shock on gaining the knowledge that men pay approximately Rs 500 for a haircut and a head, neck and shoulder massage.
Apparently in ₹500, guys can get a haircut and a head, shoulder and neck massage. Everyday I get shocked by how much extra women need to pay!

However, men took to the comment section to reveal that they actually pay much less. Some claimed that they pay as little as Rs 40 for a haircut, others highlighted that with Rs 500, they’d survive an entire year!
i spend 500 a year dawg

First of all,the cost depends on the poshness of the “salon”
Men can get all these things for even 50 rupees if they don’t mind going to a simpler salon
Second, almost all women have long hair, different taste and requirements for styling them
Hence the price difference pic.twitter.com/nn1lgZ8zda

Wallahi I pay 50-60rs to my barber 😂
Haircut, beard, massage, facewash all in one 😎😂— Osman Ghazi (@Osman_Ghazi_) February 5, 2022
I get all of that and a beard trim at ₹500/-
And these are post pandemic rates (after almost 20% increase over last year).
Plus I get a nice cup of tapari chai and a chat that does not involve even a single word about my skin, hair or general state of health.

500 rupaye😳.
Lemme explain 50rs haircut. 30rs post haircut ice cream. 150rs mein ghar ki sabji that mummy ordered. 100rs for 4 plates of chole bhature coz I usually go in the morning for haircut. Give 20rs to a needy. Go home with 150rs in pocket.😎— jacky (@suppershubham) February 4, 2022
I’m going to the same shop since my childhood. The owner of the Shop did my Mundan ceremony also. His Sons had expanded. They have multiple salons by the name of JD Naseems, Naseems, ZD’s, Crew Cut and JD Salon in south Delhi. Started from Rs. 10 for a haircut to Rs. 150 today.

500? When I was in Hyderabad in 2018, I was paying 40 for a haircut, 20 for a shave, and the 2-minute massage was “whatever you like” and I felt like a baller paying 100 and not asking for change. And the barber said I was more generous than the average person.
