According to News18, a 26-year-old man in California recently earned a whopping Rs 11 lakhs in just 7 hours by…wait for it…letting others disturb his sleep! If this isn’t a dream come true, I don’t know what is.
A Twitch streamer (someone who plays videogames on ‘Twitch’, a live streaming platform for gamers) who goes by the name Asian Andy decided to live-stream himself sleeping and allowed viewers to disturb him and wake him up with all their might after making a contribution.
According to Times Now, the viewers were allowed to donate any sum of money and send sounds and text-to-speech messages during the live stream. Many tried to scare him, ring an alarm, blast music, and shared dog barking noises to wake him up. In the video, we see how he indeed has disturbed sleep, waking up in intervals.
However, at the end of the video, he was surprised to find a total donation of 16,000 USD (Rs 11.6 lakhs approx). He later posted a video of the live stream on YouTube which got over 4 million views!
He thanked his viewers for their generous contribution and said how he used to earn 16 dollars a day by working as an Uber driver.
