Leh Kid Saluting Army With “Josh” Impresses Twitter & He Gets Offered A Scholarship

Stories of kids honoring our troops with thoughtful gestures have always impressed social media. For instance, PUBG tournament runner-up Naman Mathur donated his prize money to the Indian Army, or a little boy who saluted an army officer’s flood rescue efforts, and said, “Aap bahut accha kaam karte ho”.

As per a report in News18, a little boy named Nagyal from Chushul, Ladakh has impressed Indian tweeple with his honorable gesture. Check out the video posted by the ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police) on their Twitter handle:

The toddler is seen standing on the curb when the border patrol team passes by him. An officer shouts out the drill command ‘salute’ to the boy and he follows by standing in the attention position and raises his hand in salute. The soldier then corrects his stance saying, “Aise karo”. He obliges quickly and gives a tougher salute looking ahead. Maintaining a stiff body posture, he learns the proper way of saluting within seconds.

The impressed soldier asks him to do it again one more time, giving the orders of ‘vishram’ and ‘savdhaan’ and the boy is able to follow without fault.

Fascinated by this, MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar retweeted the video and expressed his desire to open a scholarship corpus in the little boy’s name. In his tweet, he requested the ITBP to help him with his parents’ details:

Here are some other reactions where people are appreciating his enthusiasm:
