5 YO’s Family Portrait Showing His Mom On Period Has Left Both His Mom And Internet In Awe

Kids are innocent and indeed very, very caring. Their pure heart knows nothing but love and while growing up, they pick up things from adults and become what they see.

A 5-year-old from New South Whales, Australia, just drew a family portrait. But if you fail to notice in the picture below, there is a red-dot on the mom in the picture.

Penny Rohleder shared it with Constance Hall, a mum blogger, and said that she is torn if she should be proud or embarrassed that his little boy Julian, knows what period is. She wrote,

The Facebook post has gone viral and received accolades from all moms around the globe. Moms also started sharing the funniest things that happened to them when their curious kids were learning what period is.

1. Baby knows what he is doing!

2. Uh-Oh!

3. Now, that’s some imagery!

4. LOLing hard on this!

Talking to Daily Mail Australia, Julian’s mom explained how he knew what period was. After the birth of her youngest, in October 2016, Penny suffered from pulmonary embolism. It is a disease that causes blood clotting. She was on medication that made her blood thin. She said,

“Since then, the blood thinners make my periods very, very bad. ‘Jules was super concerned, but he knows about periods – kids follow you to the toilet every chance they get – and so he just kept asking me if I was ok.”

Penny explained that her period was so bad that she had to jump in the shower every now and then and clean up everything. Julian, who is just a very caring kid, followed her to make sure that she’s okay and picked up the word.

I think that it’s important for boys to know what period is and why does it happen. I for one, remember boys in my school laughing in the vicinity when a teen on her period would stain her skirt.

If they learn to respect and care at such an early age, it would really help us build a more understanding society. Don’t you think?
