Back in 2012 when Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan got married after dating each other for four years, it send shock waves to the industry. The fact that there’s a 10-year age gap between the couple and that Kareena attended Saif’s first wedding didn’t settle well with people.
But no matter what people said, they both held each other’s hands, strong and tight, and have been blessed with two boys Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.

Recently in an interview, the ‘Heroine’ actor said that she married Saif at the peak of her career and continued to work even after her wedding. She added that she tied the knot at a time when no actresses were getting married probably because of the fear of not getting films after marriage.
According to her, with so many actresses marrying recently and resuming work, it has suddenly become a trend.
“I am in a happy space because I have always chosen to do what I want to do, and I am lucky with that,” News18 quoted her saying.
“When I wanted to get married, I did, and it was when no actress was getting married. Today, so many actresses are getting married. It is suddenly cool to be married and working.”
She further added that back in the day, the actress didn’t want to have kids after their marriage. But after she came to the sets when Taimur was just a toddler, things have become normal.
“Earlier, it was about not having children. Then suddenly, it was like, okay you can have a child as well and still be working. I have always done things that I love and believe in.”
Kareena shot for ads and even walked the ramp during her pregnancy. She took a two-month’s break after Taimur’s birth and returned to work. She went to work a month after giving birth to Jeh.

Kareena’s statements came across as she was the one who started the trend of working after marriage or having kids. That definitely raised a lot of eyeballs online.
