I’m sure you all know by now, all is not well between former B-town BFFs Karan Johar And Kajol. Last year, the two had a particularly ugly spat which took centre stage in a lot of the Bollywood news at the time. In fact, Karan even spoke about it during the launch of his autobiography, ‘An Unsuitable Boy’. However, Kajol wasn’t particularly forthcoming about offering her side of the story.
Most recently, Kajol made a pretty elaborate statement which suspiciously sounded like a subtle dig at Karan Johar. Here’s what she said.
“Well, I think there’s a lot of fake honesty going around as well. I really do. There are a lot of people going around and saying, ‘You know I’m being honest’ and actually, it’s just for selling books, or movies and ratings. I don’t know, there are a lot of reasons for faking in front of the camera. Or in front of the public, for that matter. I think honesty has been abused over time and space.”
Pretty much everyone understood that her statement was alluding to revelations made by Karan Johar. Therefore, following from that, she was asked whether she’s someone who forgives and forgets.
“Well, I think relationships are like that. Relationships are about working things out. So I do believe that if they are worth it, two people will make the effort to work through it.”
Sounds like the bridges haven’t entirely burned down as yet. There is some hope.
While she may not have explicitly taken any names at the moment, she assured to provide her side of the story very soon.
“I think that the best thing for me to do right now, as far as this entire topic (the fallout with Karan Johar) is concerned, is to stay silent. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do. When and if I choose to give my opinion on this particular topic, I will make sure the world hears of it.”
