Juhi Chawla Suggests An Old Method To Punish Rapists, Asks If It Can Be Implemented Today

Celebrated Bollywood actress and former Miss India, Juhi Chawla has been raising her voice time and again on issues of national interest. The 90s actress who blew viewers away with her bubbly character play and infectious smile was recently seen showcasing her bold avatar through movies like ‘Gulab Gang’ among others. Juhi who is also an avid environmentalist was recently spotted attending a family wedding in Rajasthan.

The ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ actress was on her field trip to explore the city with her family and friends when she spotted an age-old punishment method and wondered if the rapists and acid throwers today can be prosecuted the same way, reported Republic TV.

Juhi took to Instagram and posted a picture with her family. In the caption, she wrote about the ‘Chhatri’ which had a 50 foot dry well where traitors and criminals were thrown and left to ‘die a slow and painful death.’

Juhi’s post was appreciated by people online who agreed with her idea of the same.

 

 

The nation was recently outraged by the brutal rape and murder of the 27-year-old Hyderabad vet. The four accused, however, were killed in an encounter by the Hyderabad Police.
