In a shocking incident that was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, famous hairstylist Jawed Habib was found spitting on a woman’s hair while giving her a haircut. According to Times Now, this was during a training seminar which was attended by several people.

In a video that has now gone viral, Jawed Habib can be seen combing the wet hair of a woman. He says, “Dhyan se suno… Agar pani ki kami hai na (Listen carefully… If you don’t have water),” and then spits on the woman’s head. He adds, “Abe is thook me jaan hai (Hey, this spit has life).”

The woman, who has been identified as Pooja Gupta, later opened up about the incident and condemned it. News18 quoted her saying:
“I am from Baraut and I run a beauty salon named Vanshika Beauty Parlour. I recently attended a seminar by Jawed Habib Sir. He invited me on stage for a haircut and misbehaved with me. He showed that if you do not have water, you can use saliva to cut one’s hair. I would rather go to a barber in my neighbourhood but I will not get a haircut from Jawed Habib.”

Several people online slammed Jawed Habib for his despicable behavior. Many also vowed to never visit any of his salons ever again and some called for a ban on them.
