These Men From Chandigarh Who Tied And Beat Up A Dog Should Be Thrown In Jail

A few days ago, reports of cruel activity against a stray dog have surfaced. Haardikaa Goswami, a student residing in Ahmedabad, and originally from Chandigarh, shared this post about a few men from her area of residence in Chandigarh who were inconvenienced by a stray dog and decided to take matters into their own hands.

The poor dog was tied up to a tree upside down and was beaten by lathis.

The stray was looked after and cared for by the youngsters in the area, but the men thought otherwise. They tied the dog to a tree with ropes, upside down, and beat it cruelly. Lathis were also used. The kids were barred from entering the area and whatever recordings they had done were made to be deleted by force.

The following video by Meenakshi Mahapatra, deleted before but resurfaced again, shows just how soulless people can get just for the sake of being ‘Safeguard Police.’

Haardika has tracked the dog to Patiala. But she was given false updates that the dog was set free and wasn’t hurt at all. Further updates revealed that the police were called to the scene, but even one policeman joined in the beating after being a silent spectator. Really shameful of these men!

The area has been identified as Kendriya Vihar Society, in Sector 48, Chandigarh.

Animal activists have filed a complaint to UT advisor Vijay Dev, the UT SSP and the Chairman of Animal Welfare Board of India. The perpetrators are liable to be booked under the Indian Penal Code as well as Section 11 of The Prevention of Cruelty To Animals Act.

Animal cruelty is a serious and heinous crime, and these men should be identified and imprisoned as soon as possible.
