A man in Kanpur named Pankaj Sharma, who works as an accountant at a private firm in Gurugram, got married to a woman named Komal 5 months ago. However, neither did Komal get physically intimate with her husband nor did she speak to anyone.
According to News18, after Pankaj tried to persuade her for a long time, Komal revealed that she is still in love with her lover Pintu and wants to get married to him. When her in-laws got to know about it, they tried to convince her to stick to her marriage, but Komal was adamant.
The news then reached the Anti-Domestic Violence Cell and Asha Jyoti Centre. They arranged for a meeting wherein Pankaj, Komal, Pintu and their relatives were present. Seeing Komal’s unflinching desire to be with Pintu only, Pankaj decided to not only let go of her but also get her married to Pintu.
He planned their wedding and arranged for a lawyer to solemnise their marriage. The wedding took place last week in the presence of relatives and in a complete Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam way, Pankaj handed his wife over to her lover. However, the only difference between the movie and this incident is that ‘Nandini’ didn’t go back to ‘Vanraj’.
