A Prankster Changed The ‘Hollywood’ Sign To ‘Hollyweed’ For NYE And Twitter Had A Ball!

2017 is only a day old and the world around has already changed! For good or bad? You be the judge of it!

People of Los Angeles, America woke up to their landmark sign, ‘Hollywood’ altered to ‘Hollyweed’ in an overnight act of trespass! Yes, you heard that right!

A vandal managed to refashion the age-old ‘Hollywood’ sign overlooking Los Angeles using tarps and drapes, changing the O’s in the sign to E’s. 

The mischief apparently is not the first time. The sign read ‘Hollyweed’ earlier in 1976, also. According to L. A. police officials, the prankster was caught on security camera footage between midnight and 2 a.m. local time.

 

Goes without a say, the altercation gave Twitter another opportunity, too glorious to go amiss! Here are some of the jubilant reactions.
