During winters, our country becomes a snowy wonderland with several cities and towns painted white as the mercury drops to the minimum. And after Kashmir, Ladakh, North Sikkim, Srinagar, among other places, our very own state of apples, Himachal Pradesh has been covered with the seasonal snowfall.

People visiting  Shimla, Kufri, Fagu, Narkanda, and nearby places were lucky enough to witness the winter in full glory with chilly winds and snowfall putting a magical end to the year that was.

Shimla, among other cities, was covered with a blanket of crisp snow and these pictures shared by Tweeple are sure going to give you major FOMO. Take a look:

Clearly, people couldn’t resist coming out of their cozy abode and hurling snowballs at each other.

“There are chances of occurrence of thick ground frost and intense cold wave in Himachal Pradesh. Earlier strong velocity icy winds lashed the region on Sunday and the sky was partially overcast causing a drop in mercury,” said the local MeT officials.

According to Outlook.com, Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was coldest with a minimum temperature at minus 11.6°C. Kalpa and Mandi also recorded a low of -3.4°C and -2°C followed by Bhuntar -1.6°C, Sundernagar -1.2 °C, Manali -0.6 °C, Solan -0.5 °C, Dharamsala and Palampur 2.5 °C while Dalhousie 2.9 °C, Una 3.0 °C, and Shimla 4.7 °C, two to eight degree below normal.

Woah! Now I know which places to visit this time next year.
