2020 is about to end, yay! But what’s troubling me is the fact that I can’t get cozy in my fluffy, warm blanket because winter isn’t here yet. However, it’s relieving to know that at least some people in the country are enjoying the season.
Jammu and Kashmir, especially the valley, recently experienced the first snowfall of the season. Mercury dropped to its significant low and Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pir ki Gali among other places were covered with crisp white snow, reported Times Of India. Local residents and lucky tourists painted the internet white by sharing lovely images from the paradise on Earth.
Take a look at some of them here:

Apparently, it’s snowing in Ladakh too, reported Financial Express. Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, including Zoji La pass and Mina-Marg, was covered in thick snow.
“If the snowfall continues for the next few hours, we will be forced to stop traffic on the highway as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident due to slippery conditions,” a government official said.
