I don’t know what love is. And I didn’t for sure know, when I was 10 and I made a fool of myself by telling a guy that I liked him. He thought it was a joke, but it wasn’t so for me. But that incident taught me something which stays with me even today.
Love is something you learn only after making a few mistakes and there’s really nothing wrong in it. You come across a lot of people but some stick and go away after a while only after teaching you a lesson. The same works in the case of love.
Here a few boyfriends you are bound to have by the time you finally settle down for the one love of your life.
1. The One You Didn’t Know
This was your first introduction to the other half of the species.He made you realize that boys aren’t so bad after all. 😛
2. The First Love
The school heartthrob. The one everyone has a thing for, and so did you. He goes around with a lot of girls, and here too, you are one of them. Your heart fluttered whenever he gave you attention but was always some kind of a wall when it came to hearing you out. But what the hell, you were too naive to care. 😛
3. The Bad Boy
He’s similar to the school crush, but this time, he’s a really really bad person and has come your way without the entourage of women. Although women do swoon at him like you, for the sole reason of him being a bad boy. You accept him because you think you can change him. But alas, you are smarter than that, aren’t you?
4. The Greek God (at least, according to you)
He’s good looking. Period. A glance at him, that’s where all your thinking capacity takes a hiatus. But you soon realize that his looks aren’t enough to keep you with him, or vice versa. You get bored pretty soon.
5. The Emo
Yes. We all go through this period. You date someone who is almost mostly stoned and couldn’t care less about anything, like, anything. And yes! Has a crazy obsession with black. Exactly like you did at the time.
6. Mr. Baggage
This one literally lived in the past. He kept taking you back in time and you constantly time traveled but not in a good way. You went to all the ugly places and always came back crying your eyes out. You thank god it ended.
7. The Sexting Buddy
This was never really a full-fledged relationship, it was just a virtual presence of a boyfriend. It existed only on your phone and the attraction was almost purely superficial.
8. The Mama’s Boy
The one who was close to his mom, too close for comfort. The presence of his mom in your relationship was too much to take.
9. The Learning Experience
He’s the one who mistreated you. Or you mistreated. The one who cheated on you. Maybe you did. Whatever it was, it was shitty. It’s a time you look back and think “What the hell was I thinking?”
10. The One With The Wrong Timing
He came and left at the worst time possible. He’s the one you call “the could have been” or “the one who got away”. He’s the one you could almost have had everything with but it was never meant to be.
11. The One (At last!)
He’s the one who makes everything you’ve gone through ( in terms of relationships) totally worth it. It took you this much to finding him and hold on to him forever ( at least as long you exist, or if you’re the creepy kind, also after death. :P).
