Whenever anyone feels over-confident about their command over the English language, all they have to do is go to Shashi Tharoor‘s Twitter handle. The politician and Kerala MP’s extensive vocabulary is sure to bring them back down to Earth. The man can compose poems using words that we haven’t even heard of and use floccinaucinihilipilification in a sentence. Accurately and eloquently at that. But as it turns out, comedian Hasan Minhaj has managed to find the Tharoorian Achilles’ heel. And it is millennial lingo.
Watch him try and guess the meaning of words like fleek, thicc, snacc and skrt skrt!
I hope @ShashiTharoor starts talking like this in parliament. pic.twitter.com/v6JG8cOeF9

Mr. Tharoor was flabbergasted when Hasan informed him of the word ‘thicc’ with two Cs. But he was a good sport nonetheless and took a stab at guessing its meaning. He ventured that it might be another word for ‘fat’ or ‘overweight’. When asked what ‘skrt skrt’ could possibly be, he replied ‘pretty girls walking by’. Guess urban slang isn’t one of his strong suits.
Twitterverse was all for the video snippet and demanded an encore.
I would watch every parliament sessions if this starts happening, this is how you get the youth involved.😂😂

Well, it has to be said that he's a good sport. In this age of political correctness, not too many politicians would've signed up for this https://t.co/phvUVdCS3n

I’ve already watched this 50 times and it never ceases to tickle my funny bone. I wonder who else can be tested with this quiz. Do you have any suggestions?
