Haryana Board Students Fill Up Answer Sheets With Shayaris, Promise Teachers ‘Party’ For Marks

Haryana

Exams. This one word is enough to make your heart skip a beat. Am I right? No matter how well-prepared you are, the only thing you can remember during an exam is some random jibber-jabber. Let us be honest, we all have, at times, used the help of…*whispers* more than just books to sail through.

But the thrill does not end here. Because there are some batches who take it a notch higher by scribbling random things on answer sheets. And here we have some students from Haryana who definitely took it to another level.

According to The Times Of India, teachers evaluating the English and Mathematics board exam papers in Gurugram, Haryana have come across something amusing. Instead of answers, these teachers found Shayaris and poems in answer sheets.

“Tu ruthi-ruthi lagti hai,

koi tarkeeb bata.

Muskurane ki main zindagy girwi rakh dunga,

Keemat bata muskurane ki.”

Couplets of poems and jokes, the paper had it all. One student even wrote one single Shayari for all the 30 questions! No brownie points to guess, that he got 0 marks.

One student was a step ahead in being the Shayar. He tried to impress the examiner with his poem.

“Mujhe bass tu chaiye,

ye mat puch kyun chaiye,

jaan se pyaare hai bhai.”

This one went all preaching about Karma.

“Manushya ke karm itne nek hone chaiye ki jab yamraj aaye tohkahe bhai tum bhainson par chalo, main paidal aata hoon.”

Well, this one can surely pass off as next big Bollywood dialogue!

“Hathiyaar to sirf shauk ke liye rakha karte hai, warna kisi ke mann main khauf paida karne ke liye to naam hi kaafi hai. OM.”

These Haryana students though adhered to the age-old practice of slipping money inside the answer sheet. With some 100 and 200 notes, many students pleaded for passing marks.

While one teacher got ₹600 with a promise of a party after she does the needful, one also got a pleading letter from a girl. It said,

“Sir, please forgive me. My parents tell me that I’ll fail the exams. I have a lot of burden on me. If you could pass me in the exams, I’d be really grateful.”

Though the incident sounds hilarious at first, nothing takes away from the fact that it also shows us the bleak reality. The naked truth of Indian education system and the pupils under it.

It is now high time, that the education system realises the amount of pressure on students these days and acts to safeguard the future of these students. Because with them, the country’s future is at stake as well.
