Chandigarh’s Harnaaz Sandhu made us proud when she ended her Miss Universe journey by bringing home the ‘Miss Universe 2021’ crown at the 70th Miss Universe 2021, held in Israel.

Her journey from winning local beauty pageants to taking over the world stage and being crowned with the coveted title has been an uphill task. However, as she said earlier, it was her belief in herself that brought her here.

She didn’t even hesitate when the host of Miss Universe 2021, Steve Harvey, asked her to perform an animal impersonation on the stage. Yes, he actually did this in the same round where other contestants were asked questions about their lives, careers, and achievements.
Sandhu was taken aback by the question. “Oh my god, Steve, I was not expecting to do this on the world stage,” she replied. However, she took it sportingly and meowed on stage.

While the Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz Sandhu, was lauded for handling it gracefully, the host and comedian Steve Harvey was slammed for asking the question which was actually prepared by the pageant organizers.
