We have entered the third month of the year and temperatures are sky-rocketing. While most of us are getting our air-conditioners and coolers serviced, the people of Kashmir are having a gala time playing in fresh snow.
Twitter has been painted white with people sharing mesmerizing pictures of the snow-covered landscape of Gulmarg and other nearby areas.

Hotel comfort never matches roaming around all alone in that landscape when the whole town is still sleeping!

The upper parts of Kashmir continue to get colder as the resorts of Gulmarg recorded over 12 inches of fresh snowfall on Tuesday night. However, the plains also saw heavy rains, reported NDTV.
Weather officials also added that other parts of Kashmir Valley, including Sonmarg, in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, also received fresh snowfall.
While the view sure looks appealing, the continuous snowing and landslides have prompted officials to close several highways as a safety measure with several passengers reportedly stranded on the highways.
Arey, ye winter toh jaaney ka naam he nhi le raha!
