In an incident that was reported from Gujarat’s Narmada district, a 55-year-old man named Paresh Doshi filed an FIR against himself for rash driving and causing death by negligence. This happened after his wife passed away in an accident that was caused because he tried to save a street dog. Here’s what happened.
According to Moneycontrol, Paresh Doshi and his wife were returning home after offering prayers at the Ambaji Temple. Near Daan Mahudi village on the Kheroj-Khedbrahma highway, a street dog abruptly came running in front of their car. In a bid to save the dog, Paresh lost control of the vehicle and rammed it sideways into the makeshift pillars and barricades on the road.
The barricades pierced through the car’s passenger window and pinned his wife against the seat, causing her serious injuries. Because of the impact, the auto lock mechanism got engaged and trapped them inside the car.
Several bystanders came to their help and rescued them. One of them smashed the window of the car, opened the lock of the car and got them out. His wife was taken to the hospital immediately but was declared dead on arrival.
The man then went on to file an FIR against himself.
