Dulha Walks Out Of Wedding As Bride’s Family Didn’t Serve Mutton, Marries Another Woman

I think most of us agree that the best thing about weddings is often the food. A sumptuous feast that dishes up everything from lip-smacking chaat to rajma chawal and of course rich and flavourful meaty curries is the dream. Well, it looks like Ramakant Patra, a 27-year-old groom in Jajpur dreamt of precisely this at his ceremony.

In fact the lack of mutton at the feast prompted him to walk out of his wedding. Indeed, reports suggest that the bride’s family didn’t serve mutton to baraatis. However, this seemingly minor glitch lead to the man marrying another woman in Jajpur’s Sukinda on Wednesday, reports Times Now News.

It all began with the man from Rebanapalaspal in neighbouring Keonjhar district, arrived at Bandhagaon village completed with the baraat for his nuptials. The girl’s family gave them a warm welcome and the rituals were soon complete. All the guests then headed for lunch. However, even before the meal was laid out, baraatis were clamoring for mutton curry.

When the dish didn’t make it to the menu, it lead to an ugly spat. When the groom discovered that the wedding feast lacked mutton, Patra called off the wedding. The bride’s family attempted to convince the groom to go through with the wedding, but Patra did not relent and left the venue with his guests.

The baaratis were put up at a relative’s home in Gandhapala village of Kuhika panchayat in Sukinda for the rest of the day. But in a shocking turn of events, Patra married another woman of Phulajhara in Tamka the very same evening, reports TNIE. He later returned to his home.

What do you think of this bizarre turn of events?
