At First, She Thought She Was Teaching English To Her Grandfather, But Then She Realized…

Big black framed glasses, dentures, a spiritual book or two, a rosary, a walking cane, and a newspaper. The lives of grandparents pretty much revolved around these objects, and ours, around them.

Our grandparents taught us life lessons through means of story-telling. But, there were also significant times when they left us touched (and learned) with small gestures that our young minds failed to comprehend at that time. We, smartass kids thought we could outrace them, but actually it was always the other way round.

This video by FridayFictionFilms is a heartwarming depiction of a grandpa who secretly watched English sitcoms but in the eyes of his grand daughter, he stayed a naive slow learner of the language for years. Wondering why? Well, to quote Abraham Lincoln:

“You have to do your own growing no matter how tall your grandfather was.”

Watch the video and prepare to drown in tears of nostalgia.
