Goa Won’t Hold Any Music Festival In The Last Week Of December And Now We Need New Plans!

Yes it saddens me to cancel my leaves too but Goa has different plans for its tourists now.

Music festivals will not be allowed in Goa during the festive week of Christmas and New Year as per tourism minister, Dilip Parulekar.

He explained, ‘At that time so many tourists are in Goa to celebrate New Year or Christmas. We do not want these EDM events at that time. It should be organised before or after that period”.

Which means Sunburn and Supersonic will not be held on their usual dates

Last year Sunburn, that’s held in Vagator, and Supersonic in Candolim happened to coincide on the same dates. Which meant more traffic, increased crowd control and way more chaos than Goa was prepared for!

They’re also floating tenders from private individuals, with huge properties, to lease out their land upon inspection for these very events.

Clearly this means Sunburn and Supersonic audience is going to have a lot to swallow after both these declarations.
