9-Year-Old Girl’s Observation On Juice Carton Led To Govt Action Against The Juice Company!

Children are very intelligent.

A curious girl took a normal juice carton out of the fridge to drink. But before drinking, the curious girl read what was written on the carton and she found something that is very common everywhere – gender inequality.

The 9-year-old girl, an only child went up to her father and asked why the juice was good only for ‘him’ and not for girls. She refused to drink the juice and that left the father speechless.

The text on the juice carton read –

“Something that is good for your child should also make him smile”

The girl’s father wrote to the company that manufactured the juice, asking for an explanation for the gender bias. The company did not respond and that’s why he wrote to Maneka Gandhi to complain and she took action.

Union minister of women and child development, Maneka Gandhi then wrote to the company asking them to explain this case of ‘gender inequality’.

The company responded by saying that the term ‘him’ on the pack is not gender specific. But it also said that they will change the labels.

“We will make the necessary amendments to avoid any such misunderstanding in the future”

This shows that even a 9-year-old’s observation can bring a positive change in the society if you take the initiative!
