‘Taare Zameen Par’ isn’t just a movie. It’s a game-changer that rewrote the rules for Indian parents. This cinematic masterpiece took us on a rollercoaster ride through the struggles of a dyslexic child, opening our eyes to a world we might have overlooked. It was like a wake-up call, shaking us out of our old-school notions about education and parenting. Suddenly, we realized that every child is unique, and some might need a little extra love and understanding to shine.
However, a foreigner discovered ‘Taare Zameen Par’ on an OTT platform and she cried buckets after watching it! She watched the English version of it which is called ‘Like Stars on Earth’ and then she attached a picture of herself after watching the film and girl, we can relate.

I cried a lot too 😭. Because I was a dumb kid too. But I had health issues so nobody expected anything from me. Still failing was not the option. It was worse for my brother, he had no option but to win in everything ( asian parenting ) I just felt stupid all my life because of…

I still think Taare Zameen Par is the best foreign movie who didn’t won an Oscar.
BTW, if you want you can watch Aamir Khan’s famous movies such as, 3 Idiots, PK, Rang de Basanti, Dangal.
But again, nothing matches with Little Stars on Earth.

This reminds me of a time when I was getting heavily bullied for being dyslexic, and my teacher thought it was a good idea to play this movie in front of the whole grade… I was called Ishaan for the rest of the year … Great movie though !!
