There is no arguing the fact that the film ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein’, starring R. Madhavan and Dia Mirza, is a classic Bollywood romantic film. Even though now we have come to the realisation that the film has a very problematic first half (romanticizing stalking, catfishing, etc.), back in the day it managed to steal the hearts of many, making it a cult favourite.
The biggest gem that has come out of the movie is the song ‘Zara Zara’, which is still heard by people across the world. The song is so magical that once you hear it, you can’t help but fall in love with it.
Here’s a testament to how popular the song is. A foreigner heard this song over 10 years back on an album that belonged to a friend. However, he doesn’t know the exact words of the song and now wants to know its name so he can find it online.
So he took to Reddit’s popular subreddit r/India to ask people the name of the song but in an adorable way!
“Help this white boy find this song. There was this song I can’t find. I apologize, but I can only spell out how I remember it in English,” he wrote.
He then goes on to describe the tune of the song in words.
“Aza-dah Aza-dah Mah-hek-ah-ta-ay Mah-hek-ah-ta-ay Ah-zha-too-mee
doon-ba-doon (can’t remember verse) poony ba (something)
Please help. I heard this back in 2010-2011 it was on some album a friend of mine had back then.”

The guy was so happy to learn the name of the song! He also went on to reveal how his friend managed to find the song in the first place. Apparently, he has been humming the song for 10 years now.
