Marriages can actually be quite a tiring affair in India. You have some 500 guests to take care of, you have some 500 opinions to listen to and you have some 500 people to please.
And if one thing goes wrong, it’s like people talk about it for another 500 years. And this one of a kind story is going to be counted as one of the best wedding stories (of all time) for more than 500 years.
In a perfect Bollywood setting, a woman with a pistol walked in during the EXACT time of the varmala and crashed the wedding of her lover. She claimed that he married her “secretly in a temple”. The groom, Devendra Awasthi, tried talking to her, but she did not budge. A bystander said,
“As the groom argued with her saying he did not even know her, she turned the pistol towards herself and threatened to shoot self.”
Devendra Awasthi, hails from Shivli area of Kanpur. The woman who gatecrashed his wedding claimed that they were already a couple.
And then she dropped the bomb. She alleged that she is pregnant with Devendra’s baby. Soon enough, matters got worse as the bride refused to marry ‘a cheat’.
The adults then intervened and calmed Devendra’s ex-girlfirend down. They asked her to settle everything in a friendly setting. Meanwhile, the bride at mandap had already made her decision. She left Devendra at the altar. 500 guests at the wedding witnessed the drama and went back home.
