A telegraph study says that on an average a person spends 1 hour and 40 minutes just browsing through his social media accounts. About 40 minutes of our valuable time, we all spend on Facebook, every day! Just scrolling through countless posts, pages, pictures and videos.
All this time you’ve spent on Facebook, but have you ever thought, what those countless hours mean to them? No? Well, me neither. But turns out, we are worth a lot to Facebook.
In a recent earning report of the third quarter, 2016, released by Facebook, it was mentioned that every user is worth $4.01 to FB for an entire quarter. That accounts for $16 (₹ 1,067) every year.

What began in a college dormitory, today has an active user base of more than 1.79 billion people! 7 billion people live in the world, which means that about 25.5% people on the entire Earth are on Facebook!

Facebook earned $3,560 million from US & Canada in this quarter alone, $1,605M from Europe, $1,152M and $692M from the rest of the world. That translates into ₹ 2,37,594,000,000 in Indian Rupees only from the US. Don’t make me do the math for the rest of them. Just don’t.
That’s the power of Zero we invented! I have no idea how much cash does Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook make in just one quarter. All I know is that it is a lot of MONEY!
These numbers have left everyone baffled. Facebook was founded in the year 2004 and in 12 years it has been nothing but a blessing to countless people around the globe! It has made businesses possible, given us a plethora of opportunities to bond with anyone, anywhere in the world and also helped us reach out to the world better!
The catch in the story is that you are worth $16 to Facebook every year and that’s not that bad at all!
