Age is never a hindrance when helping others. Earlier, a 6-year-old student set up a joke stand in his driveway so that he could make passersby smile with his one-liners and knock-knock jokes. Now, a 55-year-old is giving back to the community with her sewing skills.
According to News18, Deb Siggins from Iowa, United States, has been making cloth face masks and hanging them up on a tree for people to pick up while social distancing.
It's not Christmas, but this woman has sewn hundreds of face masks and hung them on a 'giving tree' near her home for friends, family, neighbors and local community members to grab when they need one https://t.co/mIaldEYLPT

The Indian Express reports that she started sewing masks at home when a local hospital named UnityPoint St. Luke’s needed 100 of them for healthcare workers. CNN quoted her saying,
“My goal was to do 100 for the hospital, but then my friends and family wanted some and it just snowballed. It went crazy, I’m getting so many requests from everywhere to the point where I can’t keep up.”
She added, “I just felt like [sewing] is a gift that I could put towards other people because it’s a gift that God has given me. I’m a giver, not a taker, so I’m always happy to help.”
We’re all #IowansTogether, and we need to help each other out during this pandemic. So great to see this from Deb Siggins in Lisbon! 👏👏👏 https://t.co/ug2Gms5LsX

Where these masks are sold for high price at this juncture for profit making, there are still human beings living in this world. God bless you and your family.
