Drunk Delhi Man Forgets He Owns His Car, Stranger Drives It Off While He Takes The Metro

The thing about alcohol is that the more drinks you have, the more irrational and uninhibited you become. Some end up befriending complete strangers and do the strangest of things they otherwise wouldn’t even think of doing. What’s worse is that people are often unable to recollect all the stupid things they did when they were intoxicated. Here’s an example.

A man in Delhi got so drunk that he befriended a stranger, made the person sit inside his car and shared a few more drinks with them, forgot that the car was his own, stepped out of the car when asked to, and caught a metro back home while the stranger drove off with his car!

According to NDTV, the man is Amit Prakash who is 30 years old and lives in Greater Kailash-II. He claims to not remember where exactly the incident took place. All he remembers is that he had a lot to drink, was completely intoxicated and wanted to drink more.

So he went to a shop selling alcohol and paid Rs 20,000 for a bottle that cost Rs 2000. However, the shopkeeper was an honest man and returned Rs 18,000 in cash to him.

While he was drinking inside his car, a stranger came up to him and asked if they could join him, and Prakash obliged. When he was too drunk to do anything, the stranger asked him to step out of the car and so he did, completely forgetting that he owns the car. The stranger then drove the car away and Prakash took a metro and went back home.

The next day he realised that his car, laptop, phone and Rs 18,000 were gone. He approached Sector 65 police station in Gurgaon. He was unable to give any description of the stranger so the police are now looking through CCTV footage to track the culprit.

Such things happen only in Delhi!
