With the ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ spirit in mind, India welcomed US President Donald Trump with great exuberance today. While the Indian government left no stone unturned to make top-class arrangements for Trump’s visit, the citizens have also put their best foot forward to make his trip to India a pleasant and memorable one. After all, this is his first visit to India as the President of the United States.
The US president along with his wife, daughter, and son-in-law arrived in Ahmedabad for the first leg of his maiden trip, reports Times of India. Trump got a taste of India’s beautiful cultural diversity during the roadshow in Ahmedabad prior to his ‘Namaste Trump’ event, reports Indian Express. While many people cheered for him in the fully-packed Motera stadium, there were others who took to social media to share hilarious memes about his special visit.
