Ancestry DNA tests help us know about our genetic makeup, and some people opt for these kits to uncover some long-lost family secrets. In a previous surprising incident, a broke man inherited an Rs. 440 crore estate after a DNA test proved he’s a dead aristocrat’s secret son.
As per a report in Mirror UK, a man named Andy Nabil bought a DNA test kit for himself and his parents back in December during Christmas to find out whether he is a single child or not, on the basis of his ancestry lineage.
He shared his discoveries in a video in response to another TikTok video asking, “Did anyone else take an Ancestry DNA test and accidentally uncover a family secret?”
He talked about how he found out a shocking, big secret of his family through the ancestry DNA. He narrated, “I took [a DNA test] back in December and I was like, huh, this is kind of weird. My Dad told me that he was, like, mostly French and English, and I was like, ‘That’s strange, I wonder why Ireland is higher than that’.”
Showing his ancestry DNA matches, he said, “Like alright, yeah, that’s my mum. Who the f**k is that? That’s not my dad.”
He continued, “After a quick Google, I find this, which is my sperm donor dad and 15 of my siblings that I didn’t know about partying in Mexico. I woke up two days ago thinking I was an only child, and now I find out that I’m the second oldest of 31.” He also pointed to an online article that confirmed that his father was a sperm donor in the past, which meant that he has up to 30 siblings he had no clue about.
His parents knew the truth, so they weren’t surprised at the facts of the DNA test. “They didn’t give me a heads up. When I saw these results, I had to tell them, and they were like, ‘Yup, that’s true,” he said. He concluded by saying that finding his siblings has been the “most amazing experience” of his life.
