Many a time we have imagined our lives to magically change into something dreamy, like winning the lottery, or finding out that you’re a princess! Life would turn out to be such a fairytale. But there are no fairytales in real life, at least for us. But a 31-year-old care worker lives to tell the tale of how he went from rags to riches overnight!
Jordan Adlard Rogers was one DNA test away from finding out he’s not ordinary like everyone else in the crowd. Instead, he is the heir to a £50m (440 Crores INR) country estate in Britain!
According to sources, a DNA test proved Jordan to be the illegitimate son of a late aristocratic owner. Then straight out of a dream, he moved into the 1,536 acre National Trust Penrose Estate in Cornwall after his father died at 62.
However, Jordan and his biological father Charles went back and forth from the idea of the test.
“He offered to do a DNA test when I was younger but it didn’t happen and then when I was 18 I knocked on his door and asked if I could have the test and he told me to do it through the solicitors. I was 18 so had other priorities at the time”, said Jordan.
He added, “I wrote more letters in my twenties but never got a reply, and then three years ago I got in contact with power of attorney Philip Care. Philip said Charles didn’t want to do the test so I wrote one final letter with a DNA test kit enclosed and that was when Philip rang and told me Charles was dead.”
Jordon expresses about how he would do anything to get back in time and let Charles know that he is his real son.
He has recently moved in with his girlfriend and his son.
Talking about what he would do now that he is rich, Jordan says, “I’ve been at the point of worrying about the next bill and have had a tough start in life but now I’m here I want to help people. I’m not going to forget where I’ve come from.”
He plans on setting up a charity and help the Porthleven and Helston communities.
His story would make an amazing script for a Disney movie!
