Have you ever sat down to note the things you are grateful for in life? It is one of the highly recommended practices to lead a fulfilling life. At a time when we have so many avenues of opportunities opening up to our disposal, we tend to get caught up on the minor inconveniences life throws our way. With upgrades coming in left, right, and centre, nothing is ever enough for us.

But if you take a moment to look around you, you’d notice how people who’ve been dealt a raw deal by life fight tooth and nail to make it work.

Like this teacher from Rajasthan who didn’t let his disabilities stand in the way of a career as a teacher.

According to a tweet by Twitter user Anita Chauhan, this is Sanjay Sen. This differently-abled man teaches at a village school in Rajasthan under the Shiksha Sambal Project.

Sanjay has been doing so for the past 9 years, as per the tweet:

The Shiksha Sambhal Project is a program run in Rajasthan’s schools to focus on the ‘SEM’ subjects – Science, English, and Mathematics. This is to help reduce the number of students dropping out past Class 10 as they struggle with these subjects specifically. Operating across Ajmer, Bhilwada, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand and Udaipur districts, the program runs in 55 schools in total.

The tweet went viral as people praised Sanjay’s dedication to his job, irrespective of not having access to crutches or a wheelchair and having to visibly strain to reach the blackboard:

Sanjay’s story was also shared on Reddit where users discussed the urgent need of a wheelchair being provided to him:

Makes our tiny problems seem rather inconsequential and silly right now, doesn’t it? Let Sanjay’s story be the motivation you need to be grateful for what you have and the incentive for you to not falter at the sight of an obstacle.
