In our society, a lot of people believe that shaadi is barbaadi. We have films like No Entry and Pati Patni Aur Woh which have normalised the idea that marriages suck and people should remain single, continue to date, to live-in together instead because apparently, marriage is daal chawal for 50 saal till you die, remember?
However, if you are married to the right person, who is compassionate, kind, loving, friendly and accepting, marriage can be a cakewalk. You get a partner and friend for life and someone you can come back home to, come storm come hail.
A woman named Richa Singh took to X (formerly Twitter) to ask married people online to reveal the best part about marriage as she has heard enough against it.
Married people on twitter, tell us the best part about marriage? Have heard enough things against it.

And a lot of people responded with several heartwarming and positive things about marriage. Marriage helps you find that one person who accepts everything about you and loves you despite your flaws. You get somebody who has your back, a partner for life with whom you can share a family. You don’t have to rely on yourself on sick days…there’s someone to take care of you.
You get to travel and experience numerous adventures together. You can agree on some, disagree on some but you’ll always have each other. It’s you and your partner against the world.
Have a look at some of the touching responses here:
My husband has seen me when I was sick, gained weight, lost weight, got pregnant, puked continuously, struggled post delivery.. I looked and behaved differently every time but he treated me with same love. He made me feel beautiful and loved in every stage i was

She always has my back, i always have her back. She is my person. My personal person. I am her personal person. Aur koi ho na ho, we are always there for each other through thick & thin, health & disease, poverty & wealth, happiness & sadness, anxiety & depression

From agree to disagree, disagree to agree, dialogue, discussing, questioning and accepting each other’s limitations, we evolved from what we were!! Happiness is overrated. We felt connected the most in tough times.

Best part is-
– there’s a person to share each and every moment of your life, your emotions, your insecurities- basically everything, all time
– you get a partner to channelize your energy- it is actually peaceful
