The two pretty ladies have now set higher aims for other actresses as Deepika was crowned the ‘Sexiest Woman For The Decade’ and Alia was voted as the ‘Sexiest Asian Female’ for 2019 by an online poll released in London, reports Times of India.
The rankings compiled by British newsweekly Eastern Eye were based on votes received from fans around the globe. According to Indian Express, it’s been a dream year for Alia as she received several acting awards along with her movie Gully Boy being India’s official 2020 Oscar entry.
“I’ve always believed that true beauty goes beyond what is seen and that is what really counts. We’ll grow older, our appearances will change, but a good heart will always keep you beautiful and that is really what we should focus on,” 26-year-old Alia was quoted saying by TOI.
Meanwhile, Deepika, the winner for the previous year, came in at second place for 2019. However, she held on to her crown for the decade.
“I am so grateful to all my fans who continue to vote for me every year. This one is for a decade of love, ups, and downs, support, and magic. I have never considered myself sexy, but I believe when you do you – that’s sexy. And I hope I can continue to do just that,” she reportedly said.
Television actress Hina Khan was ranked third in the list for 2019. The top 10 included Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra as well. Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan was voted the ‘Sexiest Asian Male’ of 2019 in the same online poll.
