AB De Villiers Follows KL Rahul, Gives Away His Trophy To A Fan In The Crowd

South African hard-hitter AB de Villiers was in full flow when Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. The 34-year-old bludgeoned the visitors all over the park as he stormed to a score of 69 off just 39 balls and helped Bangalore put up a respectable total of 218.

But wait, that was not all. De Villiers returned to prove his worth on the field by taking a phenomenal catch on the boundary line to dismiss Sunrisers batsman Alex Hales. In what is being hailed as the catch of the tournament, the Protea had already secured the match for his team. Deservedly, he was awarded the Man of the Match award.

However, what came as a surprise, was his next step.

AB de Villiers followed the path of Kings XI batsman KL Rahul and went up to the crowd to hand over his trophy to a fan.

While KL Rahul’s act earned him mixed reactions, the Tweeple hailed ABD for being kind enough to give away the award.
