Bride Marries Bae In A Beautiful ‘Tangled’ Inspired Ceremony After Testing Covid-Positive

Someone who has been tested positive with the novel coronavirus would usually isolate himself, eat well, take medications among other precautions. But this couple from California decided to get married even after the bride got infected by the virus.

The couple had everything planned for their big day. But just three days before the wedding, the bride, Lauren Jimenez, got infected with the contagious virus. She was obviously heartbroken. “When she got that positive test result, I’ll be honest, it took a massive toll on her,” said the groom Patrick Delgado.

However, she decided to stick to the plan and marry on the same day, obviously keeping in mind everyone else’s safety, reported Hindustan Times.

Inspired by the Disney princess movie ‘Tangled’, Patrick and Lauren exchanged their rings while staying away from everyone. The couple held the two ends of a decorated ribbon to feel as if they were holding hands and said ‘I do’.

The beautiful Lauren, dressed in her wedding dress, sat by the window of her bedroom on the first floor while Patrick stood underneath the window, on the lawn, during the ceremony. He also had a signboard that read ‘almost married’.

The couple explained that they did so because they had already changed their plans thrice earlier due to the pandemic. The wedding was attended by just ten guests who watched the ceremony from their cars across the street. “We were cautious throughout the entire time, making sure that we always wore our masks everywhere,” the groom said.

Talking to Good Morning America, the 29-year-old bride said, “Although it’s definitely not how we envisioned our wedding day, Patrick and I were able to exchange our vows to each other.” She was glad that even after hearing about the depressing news, Patrick arranged everything himself.

“Patrick has been the best partner. Since we don’t live together, he would FaceTime me every day and reassure me that we can get through anything together. I feel so lucky to have a partner who will support, love, and navigate through tough times,” she added.

Lauren further added that even though this wasn’t something they had planned for their big day, she is still happy about it.

“If we can get through 2020, Patrick and I can get through anything. I know Patrick and I will also share laughs about how crazy, unique, and different our wedding day turned out. We will definitely be sharing this story with our children and grandchildren someday. Being a quarantined bride has not been ideal, but I’m trying to make the best of our situation. I can’t wait till I can be with Patrick and finally give him a kiss,” she divulged.

Jessica Jackson, who captured their lovely moments, shared the pictures from this new-age wedding on her social media. Captioning the pictures, she wrote:
