I often saw wire covers on the bulbs outside the shops in my village. I always thought that the holder might be loose and the wired cage is there to protect the bulb in case it falls down.
However, today I got the answer to it in this video.
This video shared by IndiaTV shows a cop from JnK stealing CFL bulbs from the shops at night. This ‘raat ke andhere ka vardiwala chor’ parks his scooter, steals the bulb, and drives away to glory!
What’s funnier than his act is the voice over by the news show that makes us feel like it is a documentary starting with a poem…‘

Apparently this video is making rounds on Whatsapp in JnK. The cop making his debut in the video, Sub-Inspector Khajuria must surely be embarrassed.
That’s a lesson learned the hard way for him.
