Unlike the common notion, policemen these days have been going way ahead of their call of duty to ensure we live in a peaceful and safe society. (Or probably we are getting to know them more now, thanks to social media). Anyhow, it’s good to see them being this compassionate and pro-active.
Well, after the Jabalpur cop carried the accident victim to the hospital, this cop from Chennai has been earning praise online for doing his duty efficiently.
SI Antiln Ramesh is being lauded for heroically chasing and catching a bike-borne mobile snatcher leading to the arrest of three more criminals and recovery of eleven snatched/stolen mobiles, reported Hindustan Times.
Sharing the video of his praise-worthy act, IPS Mahesh Aggarwal tweeted:
It’s not a scene from any movie. But the real life hero SI Antiln Ramesh single handed chasing and catching a mobile snatcher riding a stolen bike. Follow up led to arrest of three more accused and recovery of 11 snatched/stolen mobiles. pic.twitter.com/FJYdoma7I4

According to additional SP ATS Rahul Srivastav, SI Antiln followed the suspects after they were spotted riding a bike without a number plate and broken lid of the fuel tank. He then single-handedly got hold of one of the snatchers as shown in the video.
