Brave New York Sikh Man Fought Off An Armed Robber With A ‘Chappal’. Incredible, Right?

Give a Sikh man anything and he can defend himself with that. A story on similar lines has surfaced and is going viral.

58-year-old Amrik Singh is a Sikh living in New York, immigrated to the US from Doburji in Punjab’s Moga district 35 years ago. He owns the Citgo petrol station and store for the past 19 years and when on December 15th, an armed man tried to rob him, Amrik Singh used his chappal to protect himself.

This video shared by the New York State Police, NYSP PIO, shows how with the show of quick wit Singh was able to save his life and his shop from being robbed.
