Little Boy Who’d Lost His Leg In A Landmine Blast, Merrily Dances On Getting Artificial Limb, Video Goes Viral

Afghanistan has been a war-torn country since decades! A living hell for children. Ever since the Americans invaded the country in 2001, things never got back to normal. Bombings, air strike, shootings, explosions have become a part and parcel of the life of all the Afghanis. According to the data, the major victims of this never-ending war are innocent children.

As per the data collected by UNAMA, at least 927 Afghan children were killed in the conflict in the year 2018. As huge as 3179 cases of child casualties were reported in 2017 followed by 3,062 in 2018. Many heart-wrenching videos of kids from the war-affected country have been doing rounds on social media for years now.

But a surprisingly happy video of a little boy from Afghanistan is cheering up the internet lately. The boy named Ahmad, who lost his leg in a landmine got an artificial limb at International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Kabul. Ecstatic to be able to stand on his feet again, Ahmad danced happily after the surgery.

A video where Ahmad is seen dancing happily was shared by an Afghani woman on Twitter. “Ahmad, who lost his leg (to) a land mine in Logar, rejoices at his newly acquired artificial limb from @ICRC Orthopedic Center. He signifies (the) irreparable damage inflicted on Afghanistan and the everlasting hope (to) stand (and) march ahead. This war must end to prevent further misery,” read the caption.

The video went viral within no time with people from all over the world praising the boy for his lively spirit.

The video reminds the world of the woeful and tragic condition in Afghanistan where children live under the terror of war. But the energy and spirit of the little boy and his positive outlook towards life and happiness is inspiring people all over the social media.
