17 Bollywood Celebrities You Probably Didn’t Notice In These Movies

What gives us more thrill than finally being able to watch a highly-awaited movie is spotting someone totally unexpected but famous in it. Remember the song ‘Papa Kehte Hain’, from the movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, in which Amir Khan’s ex-wife Reena Dutt featured? Or the song ‘Om Shanti Om’ from the movie of the same name? That song had the entire film industry swimming in it.

We bring to you some other such famous Bollywood personalities who made appearances that probably lasted for an eye blink. While the movie buffs must be aware of most of these, the others are in for a series of surprises.

1. Shahid Kapoor in Taal

This is probably one of the most commonly known near-miss shots. When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gets draped in a white cloth in the song, a young Shahid gives the finishing touch. Shahid has also appeared in a scene of Dil Toh Pagal Hai as one of the dancers, dancing behind Karisma Kapoor.

 

2. Subhash Ghai in Taal

Another one from Taal, the man in the market scene humming & swaying on his own tunes is none other than the director of the movie himself.

 

3. Anushka Sharma in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S

Anushka Sharma’s debut movie sure was Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. However, that wasn’t the first time this peppy starlet graced the world of cinema. A hoarding with her image was featured in Rajkumar Hirani’s superhit Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.

 

4. Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Sarfarosh

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s struggle stories are among the most inspiring ones ever. The man has had many hammer knocks and unnoticed movie appearances before finally owning the star status. A National Award winner, his debut was in 1999 in the movie Sarfarosh, in which he played a small role of a criminal. Some of his other such teeny roles that totally went unnoticed were:

1. Shool (1999)- Waiter

2. Munna Bhai MBBS (2003)- Small criminal

3. Black Friday (2004)- Asgar Muqadam, Tiger Memon’s secretary

4. Manorama Six Feet Under (2007) – Local goon

 

5. Nikhil Advani and Farah Khan in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

The director Nikhil Advani played the guy who dumped his girlfriend Suparna on The Neelam Show, in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. 😀 And if you look a little bit more deep into the crowd, you can also spot Farah Khan.

 

6. Ayan Mukerji in the song Tumhi Dekho Na (Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna) and in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Remember the song Tumhi Dekho Na. Well, the unique feature of that song was its sequences in monochrome theme. In one of the ‘green’ sequences of the song, appears the ‘awesomeness’ popularly known as Ayan Mukerji, carrying a gift box in his hands.

But that wasn’t the only time he made a cameo and went unnoticed. In his recent directorial Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, he featured as one of Bunny’s (AKA Ranbir Kapoor) friends.

 

7. Geeta Kapoor in the song Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aaye (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai)

She did grab attention in the song but as just another character, people want to know nothing of. But, now that we know she is the judge of a famous dance reality show and a leading choreographer in the industry, it is interesting to rewind the clock to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, isn’t it?

 

8. Kiran Rao in Dil Chahta Hai

Yeah, the girl with specs that enters the hotel with the hopeless lover of Akash (Aamir Khan), Tanya, is now the producer/screenwriter/director wife of the perfectionist, Aamir Khan.

 

9. Reena Dutt in the song Papa Kehte Hain (Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak)

This one is also a popularly known blink-miss shots. Aamir Khan’s both wives did cameos in his movies. This one seems to have been a decided affair, whereas Dil Chahta Hai, seems like a smartass joke of the destiny.

 

10. Zoya Akhtar in Kama Sutra – A Tale Of Love

Really, who would have thought? She can be seen learning dance in a group of other dancers, from the lead actress of the movie, Rekha.

 

11. Avantika Malik Khan in the song Aunty Ji (Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu)

When the wife decided to shake a leg with her long-time boyfriend turned actor husband.

 

12. Prakash Jha in Satyagrah

The director of the movie can be seen in a very crucial moment of the film.

 

13. Karan Johar & Farah Khan in Kal Ho Naa Ho

They played regular people chatting away and binging in a restaurant.

 

14. Imtiaz Ali in Black Friday

The famous director played the role of Yakub Memon in the movie, directed by Anurag Kashyap.

 

15. The late director Yash Chopra with wife Pamela Chopra in the song Ek Duje K Vaaste (Dil Toh Pagal Hai)

Most would have seen it, but not many remember it. In the same song, the late director Yash Johar was also featured with his wife, Hiroo Johar.

 

16. Siddharth Anand in Salaam Namaste

The director of the movie comes during the climax of the movie as a Punjabi taxi driver to Preity Zinta.

 

17. Uday Chopra in DDLJ

Probably the only legendary movie he has ever been a part of, but didn’t get a chance to act in.
