Ours is a democratic country where we depend on leaders or workers of political parties to do the right thing and set an example for the nation. However, more often than not, these leaders commit crimes that make us lose belief in their capabilities to lead citizens to progress.
A similar incident occurred in Singanayakanahalli, Bengaluru when a BJP leader assaulted the headmistress of a private school. As reported by The New Indian Express, Ramakrishnappa was angry over not receiving interest on the loan he gave the school.
The entire incident took place on Monday and was recorded on the CCTV camera installed in the premises of the school. The leader is seen beating the woman first with hand and then with something that looks like a cable.
Asha, the headmistress of a private kindergarten school, had reportedly taken a loan of ₹70,000 from him. She bore the brunt of his anger when the school failed to repay it.
The accused is currently absconding after the Rajanakunte police station was informed about the incident. Police are on the lookout for him and have brought his son, Janardhan for questioning. His son is also the leader of the Yuva Morcha in Yelahanka.
