9 Bizarre Weddings That’ll Make You Go WTF!

Gone are the days when weddings used to be a simple, quiet affair. These couples have surely challenged the normally accepted ways people get married. They wanted to be different. They wanted to represent themselves and who they are in the way they got married. Hail the bravehearts!

Noah Fulmor and Erin Finnegan wanted to get married in space. But since that wouldn’t have been possible, they went for their next best option. They did it aboard G-Force One, a modified 727 similar to the Air Force’s “Vomit Comet” which can provide periods of weightlessness lasting several minutes. I am so jealous! Moreover, they had just 10 guests. If I were to choose just 10, I wouldn’t marry at all.

2. The couple who got married in shark tank! WTF!

A Long Island couple, April Pignataro and Michael Curry were married in a 120,000 gallon shark tank at Atlantis Marine World aquarium in Riverhead. They were protected by a cage as sand sharks, nurse sharks, eels and a giant grouper circled around. The bride said her mother was worried that her hair and make-up would get messed up. Yeah, right! That’s what I would be worried about in a shark tank.

3. How romantic would a wedding be under the sea? More tedious than romantic, I think!

A very adventurous Polish couple got married in a tank with 1.5 million liters of sea water. The bride, Dorota Bankowska, is a self-employed diver in the oil industry and felt that her wedding should be a reflection of her adrenaline-junkie lifestyle. The couple was joined by one bridesmaid and one groomsman. They take sticking with each other through thick and thin to a whole another level!

4. The naked wedding! This is bizarre..why would you not want to look pretty on your wedding day? Or maybe, they have perfect bodies!

And Jennifer’s dream of having a zombie wedding came true! The ceremony was decorated as a “hellish” Caribbean paradise and live music was provided by “zombified” band Mariachi Mexteca. Wow. This is really weird. If I had such a wedding, it would haunt me forever!

Jeroen and Sandra Kippers from Brussels were the world’s first couple to get married mid-air. The bride, groom and celebrant were hoisted up on the enormous crane accompanied by 20 guests, strapped into chairs along the side of the platform. A second platform – hosting an orchestra and a pianist was hoisted up beside the wedding party to give the ceremony an authentic feel.

What’s amazing is, after the ceremony, the couple jumped off and took the “leap of faith”! And then came the floating reception. Guess, this wedding can only be my dream!

People can take their love for some things to extremes. A couple in Russia decided to tie their knot by cycling across the whole city. Isn’t that strange? And also, accompanied by their guests on bicycles. If any of us try that, our family would literally curse us. Or kill us. And would never, ever talk to us!

Our weddings can be weird only probably because of the size of our guest list! We sure aren’t as adventurous.
