12 Reasons Why The Best People Go Through The Worst

Why do bad things happen to good people?

We often ask ourselves this question. But we never really get a definite answer from anyone. We ask the society which doesn’t really have any answers for anything. We even ask the Gods and they stay silent. We ask our soul and no voice comes out.

It’s not like bad things don’t happen to others but the most undeserving people take the brunt of the worst.

Here are a few things you might not have thought of while analysing this issue.

1. Their inherent goodness attracts the darker side of others.

They are pulled towards the dark hues of a person because they believe they can do something about them.

2. They inadvertently find themselves at the wrong place at the wrong time.

They find themselves in a fix without a hint of what they did with no fault of their own except that they didn’t know whom to trust and when or trusting too blindly.

3. They tend to believe they can change people.

They genuinely believe that everyone has a good side and they can help them become better.

4. They try too hard to stand the pain.

They refuse to accept that somebody wronged them or even if they do, they bear the pain as long as it’s physically and mentally possible for them.

5. They are determined to see the goodness they possess, in everyone.

They try to see the best in people even when they know that those people do not deserve their attention and maintain a good relationship with them even when they know they won’t be appreciated.

6. Their idea of the world is somewhat Utopian.

They think of the world through the prism of fairness or unfairness. They fail to understand that the world does not run on fairness and it’s never about unfair treatment. It’s all just about survival.

7. Their goodness is a thin defence in this bad, bad world.

Their goodness is the only weapon they have towards the evil in the world and it’s a pretty easy thing to manipulate and they are often left in tears.

8. They choose the wrong person without thinking objectively.

Since they believe they can change people, they make the wrong choices when it comes to choosing the people they’d want around them.

9. They just delay the inevitable with higher consequences.

Their goodness eggs them on to protect someone who makes a mistake by putting them behind their backs by which they’re only achieving a delay in the inevitable with much harsher repurcations in the future and the present.

10. They stress over things much quicker.

They get worked up about the slightest and the most insignificant things ever.

11. The world is much simpler to them, there is black and white, but no grey.

They see the world in two colors. One is good, the other is bad, ergo one is white and the other is black. There is no space for mistakes.

12. Their goodness makes them more susceptible to heartbreak.

It’s easier to hurt a good person as they readily offer their hearts for people to trample on.

There’s nothing wrong with being a good person. But it’s always good, to be a cautious person. 🙂
